Probation Association of New Jersey

Probation Association of Jersey.

Welcome

I am honored to serve as the President of your great organization.

I grew up in Burlington County in a close knit family. I graduated from Glassboro State College in 1991 and began my career as a Probation Officer in Burlington County in 1994. I currently live in Cinnaminson, NJ and married my dear friend, Christine, in August 2014. I have been a Union Representative since 1998, first serving as the Local Union President of the Burlington County Probation Officers Association, elected to Southern Regional Vice President and then First Vice-President on the state level of the union.

PANJ is a grass roots union. PANJ elected officials are judicial employees the same as their members. PANJ, as the bargaining unit of the Professional Case Related and Professional Supervisor Units, is responsible through its’ elected officials to enhance the professional and economic status of its’ members, as well as providing representation to the members in disciplinary and grievance matters. In essence, the officials “reap the gains and feel the pain” just as their members. At times, retained attorneys and other professionals are called to assist in accomplishing these goals.

As a group, PANJ has made great strides in improving the lives of its’ members as well as for the citizens of the State of New Jersey. It is my goal to further, enhance the economic, safety and professional standing of all PANJ Members and service to the Citizens of New Jersey.

I look forward to the future and serving you as the PANJ President. Information will be shared with PANJ members and other interested constituents through the union’s website (PANJ.org) and through the Probation Association of New Jersey Facebook page, and through local distribution of information. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any of your concerns.

In Solidarity,

Dwight Covaleskie
