Shannon Thatcher, 40, a Master Probation Officer with the Hudson County Probation Dept.,for the last 17 years died Feb. 1, 2012 at Jersey City Medical Center. Born March 31, 1971, in Jersey City, she lived in Bayonne the last 12 years. She was also proprietor of Aruba Tans, Bayonne. Upon her death, she became an organ donor.
Beloved daughter of Sandra Calabrese Gomez & her husband Anthony; Jesse Thatcher & his wife Donna. Loving sister of Jesse Thatche, his wife Jennifer & Leigh Ann Thatcher. Dear granddaughter of Edward Rutkoski & the late Virginia Rutkoski; the late Thomas Joseph Calabrese, & the late Ethel Thatcher & John Thatcher. Niece of Thomas Calabrese, ET Thatcher, Jack & his wife Maryann Thatcher, Ida & Ken Frank & Thomas Thatcher. Aunt of Nicholas & Alexa Dischler. Cousin of Melanie Gordon-Calabrese & many other cousins Godmother of Logan Jake.
Visitation is Sat. Feb. 4, 2012, 3-7pm at GREENVILLE MEMORIAL HOME 374 Danforth Ave. Jersey City. Roman Catholic Service during visitation. Cremation Private.

Frances M. Hensrud

AGE: 65 Jersey City, NJ


Frances M. Hensrud, Jersey City, passed away peacefully on Monday December 12 at Bayonne Hospital with her family at her side. Born in Jersey City, she was a graduate of Dickinson High School and Jersey City State with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She moved to Washington State while serving her country in both the US Navy and US Coast Guard, but returned to Jersey City where she worked tirelessly and selflessly to raise her 3 daughters, who were her greatest joy. She was a woman of tremendous generosity, who sacrificed without complaint to care for her children, grandchildren, family, friends and anyone she whom she could help. An accomplished bowler, she was a member of the Hudson Lanes Bowling League for many years. Frances was a Probation Officer with the Hudson County Probation Department for over 20 years. She is survived by her loving daughters, Vicky Nappo and her husband Michael, Tammy Hensrud Nally and her husband Eamon and Sherri Budinick and her husband Michael; grandchildren Krista, Melissa, Liam, and Ryan, her “boys” Frankie and Johnnie; and a host of friends too numerous to mention, but all very dear to her.







Lynn D. Anderson

AGE: 63 Brick, NJ


Lynn D. Anderson, loving mother, grandmother, sisster and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Lynn was born in Appleton and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin before moving to Brick in 1977. Lynn loved her time with her grandchildren, niece and nephew. She enjoyed gardening, music, and time spent along the coast. Lynn fulfilled a lifelong dream of earning a teaching degree through Georgian Court and Thomas Edison State Colleges. She loved her job as a long-term substitute teacher for an alternative school in Lakewood, where she touched the lives of many of her students. In 2005, she became an Ocean County Probation Officer working with a group of outstanding and generous coworkers, and once again sharing her skills with people in challenging situations. Lynn will be deeply missed by her family and dear friends.

She has joined her parents, Bea and Andrew Fennema II, in heaven. Lynn is survived by her son, Mike Anderson of Kenosha, Wis.; her daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Rich Tedeschi; and beloved grandchildren, Kristi D'Arpa, RJ and Kayla Tedeschi, all of Brick. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Mick Panarale of Pine Grove, Calif.; her sister, Nancy Fennema of DePere, Wis.; and her brother and sister-in-law, Drew and Linda Fennema; and adoring nephew and niece, Andrew and Natalie, all of Cinnaminson.

KAREN A. (KELLY) MCGARR

AGE: 37 EGG HARBOR


MCGARR, KAREN A. (NEE KELLY) 37 - of Egg Harbor Twp., passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 in the presence of her loving family. Born in Manalapan, she attended St. John Vianney High School in Holmdel, and Mt. St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD. She was also a member of the Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad. Karen was employed by the State of NJ, and served as a Senior Probation Officer with the Superior Court. She was predeceased by her father, William T. Kelly, Sr.; and her brother, William T. Kelly, Jr. She is survived by her husband, John J. McGarr III; her two children, Jack (three years old) and Kylie (one year old); her mother, Marita Kelly of Clearwater, FL; and her mother and father -in- law, Lennea and John J. McGarr, Jr. of Sea Isle City. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 11:00am at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish/St. Bernadette Church, 1421 New Road, Northfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the John J. McGarr IV and Kylie Anne McGarr Trust fund at Bank of America, 1 N. Main Street Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Interment will be held Wednesday in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood, NJ.

Daniel Debbie, PPO Union County passed away on Nov. 11, 2010. Services Monday evening 7-9 at the memorial Funeral Home, Fanwood.





GARY A. HIRSCH

AGE: 55 FREEHOLD


Gary A. Hirsch 55, of Freehold passed away on Sunday, October 31st at home. Gary was born in Brooklyn, and moved to Freehold in 1980. He was a Senior Probation Officer in Monmouth County, and was employed by the NJ State Judiciary for 23 years. Gary faithfully attended the PANJ-EF Conference in Atlantic City every year, and would wear his JETS jersey for the Monday night football game. He loved to perform and act on stage, appearing in several plays at the First Avenue Playhouse, and Center Players. Gary was a great friend to all in Monmouth County and will be missed. He was predeceased by his parents, Marvin and Sylvia Hirsch. Gary is survived by his brother, Robert Hirsch Santa Fe, New Mexico. Friends and colleagues are invited to his viewing at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday November 11th from 10:00am until the 11:00am funeral service at the funeral home. Internment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.



JAMES F. KRATZER
AGE: 56 FRANKLINVILLE

James F/ Kratzer of Franklinville died Jan. 19, 2010. Beloved son of Helen S. Kratzer of Slatington, PA and the late William F. Kratzer and brother of the late William J. Kratzer. He is survived by close friends Karen McDowell and children.

James graduated from Slatington High School in PA and Weidner Univ. where he was a member of ROTC. He previously worked for the Baltimore County Police, the Capital Police @ the White House and at presently a Burlington County Probation Officer.

He was a member of the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Assoc. and N.E. Calf Ropers Assoc.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and service on Mon. 6-8PM at the NORTON FUNERAL HOME 1232 S. Black Horse Pk., Williamstown, NJ.

MIGUEL A. TORRES
AGE: 30 MANCHESTER

Miguel A. Torres, 30, of the Pine Lake Park section of Manchester, died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City. Born in Newark, he resided most of his life in Manchester. He was employed as a probation officer with the New Jersey State Judiciary Dept. in Toms River and Lakewood. He is survived by his parents, Modesto and Milka Torres of Manchester; and his sisters, Sheila Torres Darnowski of Manchester, and Jessica Torres Faccone of Browns Mills. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Carmen Soto of Sayerville; and his nieces and nephews, Naya, Jenna, Ryan, and Alex.
